Burden
I was totally psyched up when I went to the hospital this morning to get my test results. Unfortunately the same can't be said for the hospital - as the reslts weren't ready. I seethed as my stitches were removed by the sniffing and sneezing nurse form behind her mask.
"Come back on wednesday", they said "Is 2.30 OK?".
On the way home we bumped into a friend helping his elderly mother into his car.
"If I get to be a burden on my family - you should put me in a home", I said.
"What!" she said - with a surpize I hadn't expected.
I laughed with recognition.
"Not now" I said "When I'm old - you fool!".
